My Baby's THREE!!

Allright, I'm sorry it's five days late. It's been crazy around here. But on Saturday, July 25th Caleb turned three years old!! He was so excited about his birthday this year. He loves to sing, "happy birthday" and you can see from the video that he couldn't help but sing along while everyone was singing to him. All 4 of Caleb's grandparents came, as well as Aunt Jayne, and Uncle Garrett. And then my sister, Melissa brought her 3 kids as well. This is what got Caleb SO excited, because he got to have his cousin, Chase, come and play at HIS house. He talked about it for days, "Chase come to MY house!"

For Caleb's birthday, we had a party with cake and presents... and then we all went swimming and had a barbeque out in our apartment pool and patio.
Caleb is loving his new toys. He only got about three, but they're pretty cool. You can see the take-it-apart airplane from the video. But we also got him a wooden train set, and then his grandma Harris got him "dart-a-cars." He plays with all of them every morning before he goes and wakes up his dad.

Happy birthday Caleb! We love you so much!

America What Were You THINKING?!!

Okay, now I think you're all lucky I haven't made more posts about my favorite show. But I just have to express myself, because once again in the top 8 dancers AMERICA VOTED WRONG!!

At this time last year, I wrote a post when America voted Will out of the competition. Today they took Janette. This girl has NEVER been in the bottom for votes....and then one week, and everyone votes for everyone else. Once again it's the ONE TIME I didn't vote. I swore to myself after Will was taken out that I would never make the mistake of complaining about who gets voted off, if I don't vote myself. But yesterday I was busy making dinner, and I didn't watch the re-cap to tell me who was what number. So I didn't call.

The thing about this show is that the best dancer doesn't win. It's "America's Favorite Dancer." And someone else won the popularity contest this ONE week, and it costs us the best one on the show. ONCE AGAIN, THE PERSON I WANTED TO WIN IS GONE! I am so upset. America, what WERE you thinking?

I thought I'd post one of my favorite dances by Janette. The thing about this girl, is I like ALL of her dances. She never had a bad one. Watch 'em all! But I really liked this one in particular. Take a look:

Well, you tube removed the audio from every single post of this particular video. The dance is the "Cha cha cha" to "Hush Hush" by the Pussycat dolls. If you find it let me know. I can't even post my favorite dance. I am SO ticked!

I do have one video that I think it will let me post. It's not a Janette dance though, it's Kayla who's STILL in the competition. Take a look at THIS:

It made me feel a little better to hear Nigel say that his favorite dancer rarely wins the competition. Story of my life! Well, keep watching! I'm seriously considering driving to Salt Lake City this fall to watch them on tour. Wouldn't THAT be fun?!

sick sick sick

I was called as ward choir pianist. I was so close to refusing it....It requires so much practice, and I work full time, plus I'm a tired pregnant girl. I've practiced the piano more in these past few weeks, than I have in the past five years. It's hard to keep my skills up, and I hate sight-reading in front of people. It's some weird kind of insecurity I have. But things are going well.

I feel like I work all the time, and I am very tired all the time. But the worst part is that I am always hungry. Up until about my 10th week I hadn't even thrown up. I thought I might make it through this pregnancy without any quick runs to the bathroom to lose my guts. I had some serious nausea....but then these past couple of weeks it's been a different story. Tuesday I missed half a day of work because I wasn't able to keep any food in my stomach. And as you know, I have to eat like every 2-3 hours or I lose all energy. So naturally when your breakfast is lost, the energy is lost as well. And when I went home for lunch, I had to stay home. But it was just the one day. Things have been much better since then.

Parker and I are excited to go see the new Harry Potter movie. We're hoping we'll get to go tomorrow. I'll write a review once I see it!

Lagoon

Well, the weekend before last we took a trip to Lagoon with Parker's family. When we arrived, Caleb was jumping up and down because he was so excited when he saw all those rides. He kept tugging on my hand, "I wanna go on this wride!" So the first one he went on was that up and down elevator thing.....(watch video). We totally thought Caleb was gonna freak out once the ride started moving. But no......he was laughing his head off. Parker and I enjoyed watching that boy go on those rides just as much as spending time on all the "big kid" rides.

I just wanna thank Jayne for these pictures. We only took videos with our camera, and so I took the liberty of taking these great pictures from her blog.
Caleb's cousin, Lucas, however.....didn't handle the rides as well. He IS a year younger though. The ride with several of us with our hands in the air, if you look closely Caleb's trying to put his hands in the air too. It kinda scared him when the ride started twisting from side to side though.

Even though I'm pregnant, I DID go on a couple "big kid" rides. I went on the "Cliffhanger", got a buncha water in my lap.....and then I went on "wicked." I'm pretty sure that I closed my eyes through almost the entire thing. That ride is INTENSE. But lots of fun.
As we were driving home, Caleb crashed of course once he sat down in the car seat. And Parker looked over to me and said, "It was really fun to be a parent today." And I completely agreed with him.
