A Dr. Pepper Junkie's Turkey Coma.....

This post is to prove that Dr. Pepper is a HARRIS GENETIC ADDICTION, and it's not my fault.....we're all junkies. Let me show you what I mean. These pictures are from Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Harris's house today. We had lots of extended family come (as always) to partake of the wall of food. Everybody brings lots, including their own case of Dr. Pepper.
The picture of the fridge illustrates just how bad this family's got it. You will see THREE cases of Dr. Pepper, PLUS a six-pack of diet-Dr. Pepper. Now I ask you, who would drink all this?....the HARRIS FAMILY! It's a four-generation problem. It started with Great Grandma Harris. And she drank that stuff....pretty much until her dying day. Her son, my grandfather, drinks it.....and as a result my father (and all his siblings mind you.....EXCEPT Eileen, who is still dedicated to her diet Coke ....the ONE AND ONLY exception) drink it. As a result my siblings and myself are left with no choice but to follow their lead. There's a group picture below, and I want you to observe the ROW of Dr. Peppers at the head of EVERY plate down that table. Oh, and the Pepsi mug in front of my dad.....is filled with Dr. Pepper. I just thought you all should know, it's in my genes. It runs in our blood, and Dr. Pepper would stay in business if it sold only to the Harris family.

Okay, so moving on. Thanksgiving was lots of fun this year. Caleb had a blast, even though he mostly played by himself. But Grandma Harris has LOTSof tractors and trucks for little boys to play with, and he LOVED it!

I also just HAD to post this adorable picture of Nathan and Megan's daughter, Kaleigh, because she is such a little DOLL!! Her aunt, Ashley, always does her hair SO CUTE, she looks like a little child model! She makes me want a girl REALLY bad. I really can't get over how cute she is.

Okay, so this is pretty much just a picture of everybody in Grandma's garage in line getting food. Let me list my thanksgiving staples:
1. turkey
2. rolls
3. potatoes and gravy
4. jello salad
5. green bean caserole
6. cheese-covered broccoli and carrots
7. deviled eggs
8. pumpkin pie
9. Dr. Pepper
This is what I had on my plate(s) today. Yes, I won't deny it....I needed two plates. And no, I don't like stuffing.....or cranberry sauce. However, I did eat so much that I'm STILL stuffed. Parker almost finished two plates (I thought he couldn't do it) and now we're both so sleepy I think we'll go ahead and slip right into that "turkey coma."
This last picture is all of us eating, and on the left is Derek and his girlfriend, Amanda Stokes. Now, since they pretty much told everyone at Grandma's house, I think I'll spread the word that Derek proposed to Amanda last night, and they're engaged! The wedding will be soon. Congratulations you guys! Amanda is awesome, she's very nice and incase you can't tell also VERY pretty. I'm glad they're both so happy!
Okay, these final videos were taken after dinner while all the two-year-old boys were running around and playing. Caleb and Blake had a blast together, so much in fact that Blake was crying when Caleb had to leave. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Quiet = TROUBLE!

Well, any parent knows that if your two-year-old is being quiet that he's probably getting into something.
I was at Parker's parents house and I didn't hear Caleb for a while, and when I found him, he was in Claudia's bathroom, putting on Katelyn's makeup. Actually I think it was Katelyn who found him. She said "Caleb what are you doing?!" and he told her.... "MAKEUP!" Can you tell he's right-handed?! He only did his left eye.

Twilight Movie (WARNING: this post contains spoiler information)

On Saturday we had a girl's day and my sisters, my mom, and I went to see "Twilight."

We had tickets for 3:00 in the afternoon, so it was good, cuz that was exactly when the BSU game was.....so there would be less people in theory. The theatre was still full, though, but we came an hour early so we got the seats we wanted.....front row of the stadium in the Majestic, so that we could put our feet up on the bar.....(we kinda had to run to get the bar first....that was funny). ANYWAY. People keep asking me if I enjoyed the movie and so I'm gonna tell you all about it. If you haven't seen the movie yet, you may not want to read this cuz I'm about to write a bunch of spoilers. Did I like the movie?.....Yes. I really did enjoy it. HOWEVER!! There were so many things wrong that I just HAVE to list them here.

First of all, I understand that when a book is made into a movie, the storyline HAS t be changed to get all the important events within two hours. I understand that, and I'm okay with it. What bothers me is when they change characteristics of the characters in the movies. The first time I got REALLY fired up about this happening was when Harry Potter 4 came out in the movies. That book is LONG and they changed all kinds of plot things to save time. I'm okay with that, but then there was the part when Voldermort uses the "imperius" curse on Harry to make him bow. Now in the book, Harry has the strength to withstand that curse (you have to have a very strong mind and willpower to do such a thing). It was a really big deal in the book that he could do that, cuz it's rare that people are strong enough for that. Then in the movie, Voldermort makes him bow.....AND HE DOES IT!!! WHY would you change something like that?!! It doesn't make the movie shorter, it just RUINS the character. No reason behind it, except the writer or director, or whoever changed it is just really stupid. So, what character changes was there in "Twilight"? Let me tell you!

1. In the movie, Charlie was always drinking beer. The book NEVER talked about that....and WHY is that necessary?

2. In the movie, Bella and Charlie always ate at a diner, instead of Bella cooking for Charlie. BELLA ALWAYS cooked for Charlie! That did not save time, by taking that out. Bella's cooking shows that she's selfless, and that she's used to taking care of other people.

3. The book hardly showd any level of how much Edward cared about her.....how much he was in love with her. In the movie, Edward took her up a tree......the book Edward would NEVER take her that high up a tree, because he's so concerned about her safety. In the movie, Edward always looked upset about something......when we know from reading the book, that this was the happiest time of his life.

4. The POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!!! Augh! In the movie, Tyler (the kid that hit Bella with his van) is black. Angela and Eric (who is supposed to have greasy hair and a face covered in zits) were ASIAN! Sorry, but in a town with only 3,000 people, there would not be that much diversity.

5. When Bella goes to the Prom in the movie, she gets ready at her own house WITHOUT Alice's help. Why did they do that? It takes away from the fact that Alice LOVES to dress people up, and that Alice is just DYING to become best friends with Bella. In the movie, she just borrowed the dress from Alice. Okay, if you can't afford to make another scene at the Cullen's house then they could have at least had Alice go to Bella's house.

6. When all the other boys ask Bella to the dance when she first gets to school, in the movie they make that dance the Prom. In the book it was a girl's choice dance. Now this doesn't seem like a big deal at first glance, but Bella turned down three boys for that girl's choice dance by telling them that she would be outa town. By making those boys ask her to the prom instead, the movie makes it look like she turned down three guys and then just went with Edward. Bella cares too much about everyone else's feelings to have done that.

7. HERE'S THE KICKER! When Bella has been bitten by James, and the venom starts to spread, Edward realizes he has to either suck out the venom, or let her change into a vampire. Well, we all know that he loves her too much, so he sucks out the venom and then stops just when her blood is clean. In the movie, they gave Carlile a line, "Edward, stop....her blood is clean." WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!! It takes away from how much Edward loves her! He stopped himself, because he loved her.....not because Carlile told him to. That REALLY bothered me.

8. These last things are just picky things. I thought the filming was pretty cheap-o. When James is holding Edward up by the neck against the wall.....his thumb moves across his face! I'm sorry, but your thumb would not be moving like that if you're choking someone. I thought the music wasn't very good, and I thought the Cullen's house looked too modern. It's supposed to be like this all-white plantation house. Just little things.

Don't get me wrong, I honestly enjoyed the movie, but they made unnecessary changes that upset me. I realize it's a first film and the budget was not what it should have been. But....I duno. Just so you believe me, let me tell you what I DID like!

1. I LOVED the baseball scene. That was totally awesome. Good filming, good music, good special effects. That was great.

2. I loved Emmett. They did a great job picking the guy, and I thought he played the character PERFECTLY.

3. I loved Alice.....I imagined her smaller in the book, but honestly your imagination is rarely reasonable when you try to put it in real life. I thought she was perfect.

4. I loved Bella. Just how I pictured her honestly.

5. I loved how they had Mike Newton call Bella "Arizona." That was not in the book, but it was cool, and kinda funny.

6. Good job on Jessica. EXACTLY how I imagined her.

7. There was a lot of humor, especially at the beginning when Bella and Edward are just getting to know eachother. That was very entertaining. And you'll just have to watch the movie to see exactly what I'm talking about with that one.

8. I loved Esme. They did a good job showing how happy she was that Edward finally found someone. She was always smiling when Bella was around. I loved that.

9. I loved the graduation caps on the wall....that was funny and creative. Probably should have been in the book.

Okay, I realize this got too long way too fast but hey.....freedom of speech. I had to voice my opinions. I did enjoy the movie, I just thought there were too many unnecessary changes to the characters.

My Favorite Commercials

I was thinking about some commercials that get me laughing every time, and I just thought I'd post a few. They're my favorites!

I'm not sure what it is about the flame-thrower burger one. Every time it aired on TV I practically died. I'll put both those on, cuz there's a sequel.

OH P.S.!! I've been waiting to post this, cuz after all the fake-outs I had to make sure it was legit......

I got that temp job in Burley. Three months starting January getting paid what the experienced girl I'm filling-in for gets paid (which is more than what I'd start out with....lets just say that). So I'll be moving to Burley for a few months.....even though we half-live there anyway. And this will at least give me an income while I keep looking for something permanent. It's not my dream come true, but it is a light in the tunnel. Yay for me! But what's still sad is I have to wait a month and a half before I can start! Augh! Oh well.

Gotta love that one! Okay, my last bit of news.....I am SOOOO excited for Twilight to come out....except it came out last night. My mom, sisters, and I have tickets for tomorrow around three. (Matinee.....half price). I absalutely LOVED the "Midnight Sun" manuscript.....I thought it was BETTER than Twilight, cuz Edward is SO much more observant (stronger senses and all) than Bella is. And I really didn't realize how early he fell in love with her! It just makes it that much more awesome. I hope Stephenie Meyer decides to finish it someday. I know what happened was a horrible infringement on her rights, but her readers are loyal and we shouldn't all suffer cuz one person was stupid. I know I'll buy the book, even though I've read half of it. I believe in supporting the authors I love. I own all my favorite books. Some day I'll own hundreds of books! (Actually I probably do......but they won't all be textbooks....it's sad but very true). Anyway.

Also, the picture of a Lion in the header is NOT a possibility. We worked on it. I have to re-create my own template (which takes FOREVER....just ask Anna) in order to do it. And I probably will someday, but since I like it how it is (minus the header) and it took forever to get it how it is now....it's gonna stay. I still think it's better than two columns. Okay I'm done.

Some old videos....

I was going through the folders on the computer, and I came across these.....it seems like it was SUCH a long time ago! And look how much I look like a teenager!.....oh wait....I WAS a teenager!
Just a few pictures and videos from our honeymoon....thought you all might enjoy these. We went to Disneyland and an Angels game if you couldn't figure it out.....man that was fun. I can't wait till Caleb's older.
ENJOY!

Manuscript....

Well, I read the first chapter....but I didn't really know what happened. You see, Stephenie Meyer promised a FIFTH book in the "Twilight" series called "Midnight Sun" It is Twilight from Edward's perspective. Well, she released chapter one....and I read it and it was good. However, I didn't know that someone got ahold of her manuscript and put it on the internet. Over two hundred and sixty pages!! Yeah! And here's the thing, she got so upset about it, that she quit writing the book until sh she feels like getting up to it again. She may or may not ever finish now....it's suspended indefinately. However, since she knew the word was out about the leaked manuscript, instead of sending people looking for it, she just put it on her website. She said she did NOT want her fans to read it this way, and I was gonna be one of those loyal fans who would wait for the indefinate release. However, last night I started re-reading twilight, cuz I wanna be up to snuff when the movie comes out Saturday (girls night out post forthcoming). And then I remembered the manuscript. Well, I debated for about thirty seconds and decided to give in. And so far I'm loving it! But it's so long! Just thought you all might wanna know what I've been up to.....absalutely nothing! I'm worthless when I'm reading.

Blog Facelift!

Okay, I've been wanting to do it for ages......but I've been putting it off, because it's just so much work....I mean it erases ALL MY WIDGETS! But I finally did it.....I've gone to three-columns! Hope you all like it. There's a few kinks....
the template I chose won't allow a picture in the header. That's a problem, don't worry though, Anna said she'd help me fix it in a couple days.
Also, I've lost the family pictures I had on the side-bars. I'll put up temporary ones, till I can get back to my mom's computer where they're saved. I've also re-categorized the other blog links.... so they're on both sides now. And I've lost the slideshow on the bottom....that's okay, I don't think anyone ever looked at it anyway. Plus the pictures were way old. Oh well. It's new, improved LYONS PRIDE 2!

How is that fun????

The internet was down all day today! When we called the people, they said the internet was down with all of AT&T and since parker's parents go through Safelink (which aparently goes through AT&T) we had no internet. Then we got in the car and the talk-radio show was doing this thing on cyber-warfare. And it was talking about how people can break down communication by taking down the internet, and how bad that would be, and how it could be the next step in warfare. I wonder if that show was brought on cuz the internet was down today?..... was anybody else's internet down today? Just wondering.....how big was it? Okay, this is NOT what this post is about.

Parker and his dad, and his brother left tonight to go on their annual elk hunt. Now, I totally love Parker, and I love that he loves to hunt. I also love that he doesn't make me go with him. I'm sorry, but to me it just doesn't make sense (please forgive me Parker, I know you don't see it this way......) but they spent HOURS packing (after a full day of work and school). They dressed up in their camoflauge and orange (Oh YEAH! Don't even get me STARTED on that one! What's the point of camo if you're gonna wear neon orange?!!! Holy cow I don't get that one at all!). Anyway, they packed lunches, and tons of clothes, and like four guns and three ammo cans (those things are HEAVY!) and then they get up at like four in the morning, and hike up a mountain.....for HOURS. FOUR IN THE MORNING!! I'm sorry, but not only is that way too early for humans, but it's rude to the deer. Then the sun will come up, and they'll be at a top of a mountain and it'll be this awesome guy moment. It's quiet. It's beautiful. And IT'S FREEZING COLD! Time to keep moving. They'll hike all day and probably only see a couple of deer/elk and they'll not be ones they wanna shoot. At the end of the day they'll be hiking the MILES AND MILES they walked away from the car, and just as they're about to pack it up, they'll see the animal they want and they'll take it down. It's just before dark now, and now they have to drag the thing across the mountainside. Then they'll get their knives out and do whatever they do to those things to make it so they can take it home. It'll take HOURS after dark so they'll do it all by flashlight, and then they'll come home..........covered in mud and dirt and smelling like sweat. They'll track mud into the house and then procede to hang the animal up-side down in the garage. Then they'll dump ALL the stuff in the house, and once again, it will take HOURS to clean up and six loads of laundry. And then they get to find someone who'll butcher the thing. (Which is NOT for free, no it's not even cheap.) And then a week later, you have to go and pick up all this meat.....THAT DOESN'T EVEN TASTE GOOD! And then you, the wife, get to find ways to cook it for an entire year.....and just as you fry up the last package, it's time to go hunting again. I'm sorry, but how is that fun???!

Disney Voices.......you've heard them more than once!

Okay, since Caleb just LOVES Disney movies, we see a lot of them. Now I saw them all as a kid, but as I'm starting to watch them again, I've noticed how many voices I've heard on OTHER MOVIES!! It started with Winnie The pooh and from there I couldn't believe how many voice doubles there are. Now ALL of these I noticed myself. Although I did do internet research for pictures and the actor names I promise there isn't a single voice on here that I put on just from looking at all these websites. I noticed all of these voices from watching all these movies with Caleb. Okay, here we go.

#1.Sterling Holloway plays:
-Winnie The Pooh
- Kaa the snake
- The Cheshire Cat

#2.Elanor Audley plays:
-Maleficent
-The Wicked Stepmother
Now this is one that I noticed when mom and I had a "girls night"....(cuz the guys went to a movie and left us at home) and mom bought Sleeping Beauty, so we watched it together.

#3. Verna Felton plays:
-The Fairy Godmother
-Aunt Sarah (from Lady and the Tramp)
-Flora (one of the 3 good fairies)
- The Queen of Hearts

#4. Sebastian Cabot plays:
- Bageera (from Jungle Book)
- The Narrator from Winnie the Pooh
#5. Barbra Luddy plays:
- Kanga
- Lady
- Merryweather (one of the 3 good fairies)

Okay this one I realized while I was in the shower this morning.....no joke!

#6. Jim Cummings plays:
-Pete (from A Goofy Movie)
-Razoul the first Guard from Aladdin

Okay now this one is kinda weird, because I'm sure everyone in the world can figure out that Mr. Smee and The White Rabbit are the same voice, but he does a buncha other voices that you would never be able to figure out just by listening.

#7. Bill Thompson plays:
- Mr. Smee
- The White Rabbit
- Jock (from Lady and the Tramp
- Policeman at the zoo (from Lady and the Tramp)
- Dodo (the dodo bird from Alice in Wonderland)
-The Walrus (from Alice in Wonderland) AND
-Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum
AND!
- King Hubert (from Sleeping Beauty....Prince Phillip's father)
#8. Kathryn Beaumont plays:
- Alice
-Wendy Darling
And I'm sure we all knew that Balu the bear from The Jungle Book is also Little John from Robin Hood. But it's also Thomas O'Malley the alley cat from Aristocats.
Finally James Earl Jones (the voice of Darth Vader) is also the voice of king Mufassa from The Lion King.
And lets not forget the revelation from "Cars" the same guy plays:
-Ham from Toy Story and Toy Story 2
- The school of fish from Finding Nemo
- Mack from Cars
- The abominable Snowman from Monsters Inc.
- PT Flea from A Bugs Life
- The Underminer from The Incredibles
Okay that was really fun. Hope you enjoyed it, I know I did!

Short end of the stick.....

Incase you were wondering how the job hunt's been going......I went to that interview last Thursday for a two-day-a-week job in Meridian. The interview went well, and the dentist asked me to schedule a working interview with the front desk. So after it was over, the hygienist was up there, and she said, "well I'll just schedule your interview for when I'm working, cuz we like to be there during working interviews to help you out if you need it." So she put me down for Tuesday at 3:00 pm. Well yesterday I got a phone call, and it was this same office. Only it was a different girl. This was the front office girl and she said, "I know they scheduled your working interview for tomorrow at three, but they did it without me, and we're just too booked. So we don't need you to come in tomorrow. We can't really do anything this week, so just call next week and we'll let you know where we stand." Not being the argumentative type, or the kind of person who thinks of any kind of refute on the spot, I said "okay" and hung up. I sat there and thought about it for like two hours. I was pretty upset, cuz basicly I knew this meant they'd interview all the candidates they have scheduled for this week, they'll pick one of them and when I call next week they'll say, "the position has been filled." Well, after a lot of thought I decided to call them back to see if I could figure out what it meant by "we're just too booked" and see if I could schedule an interview for next week so I don't get swept under the rug. So, after building up all the courage I could muster I dialed the number and waited. Basicly they wouldn't even talk to me. She just said, "Oh, just call us in a week." and every time I tried to explain why I called back they just said, "just call next week." They were quite short with me and once again I hung up disapointed.
So as far as the "she-gets-the-short-end-of-the-stick" department, things are same 'ol same 'ol. However, yesterday when I told Parker about another lost interview, he gave me a number for a dentist in Burley. And I called them up and they're looking for someone to work full-time to fill a maternity leave for one of their hygienists. I have an interview scheduled on Thursday. Phew. As long as there's something in the horizon, I'm not too depressed. Granted it's only a three-month job, but it'll at least give me an opportunity to find something else and make some money (full-time money) while I'm looking. I'll let you know how it goes!

It's BROKEN!!!

Okay, the funniest thing happened today. Parker and I were wrestling with Caleb on our bed today. And we were also scratching Parker's back (cuz he loves it, and Caleb loves to help), and caleb jumped off the bed to get something. While he was on the floor, parker pulled his already pulled-up shirt over his head, so it was just over his head and shoulders. When Caleb got back on the bed, he noticed Parker's head was gone. He kinda looked at it from all angles, and then he looked up and me and said, "It's BROKEN!!!" Parker and I almost died laughing. I'm sure he just meant to say that daddy's head was gone, but when you're two, and you only know so many words, how else do you say it?! Parker was laughing so hard he had tears coming out of his eyes. He's such a funny kid.

Mystery kindness......

Tonight as we were eating dinner, we heard some shuffling around outside. The front porch is under construction, and there's boards everywhere. It's impossible not to trip. We heard someone outside kinda trip on something, but we weren't sure. I know we heard it too, cuz Caleb gasped...."wuzzat?" Then as I was getting Parker another sloppy joe we heard a knock on the door and found this on the porch. HOW NICE WAS THAT?!! I'm not gonna lie, I have no idea who it's from, but if I had one guess I'd say it was Pat. That's right, you're not that tricky.....the smiley faces totally gave you away. PLUS! You might not know what that "feedjit" thing is on my widget column, but basicly it tells me who's hitting my site. It says someone was on Pat's blog, and then went to mine an hour and fifteen minutes ago.....and then again four minutes ago!!! I could be wrong, but thanks whoever you are. That was really nice!

That rainbow I was talking about...

Here's those pictures I promised about the rainbow. They TOTALLY don't even do justice. And remember, the pictures and videos are taken from INSIDE the car while it was still raining.

And of course, the best picture of all is Caleb sleeping in his car-seat. Note his long hair, talk about shaggy! For a view of his haircut, check out Jayne Nelson's blog (linked on my family blog list) cuz she posted some pictures of Caleb after his haircut. He's so adorable when he's sleeping.

You didn't ACTUALLY think I was gonna get the job did you?.....

I got my phone call today as I was driving to interview number TEN (part-time two days a week in Meridian). Someone in Burley got lucky.......of course it wasn't me, why would you even think that?! Great timing too, cuz I got to walk into a job interview with shaky hands and on the verge of tears. cc

Stress headache....

Well, I haven't posted in a while (less than a week, I know....... it's been FOREVER!) for a couple of reasons. We took some awesome pictures of the most beautiful brightest rainbow I've ever seen while we were driving through this hail storm on the way to Burley on Sunday. I don't know how it happened, but somewhere between that drive and packing our stuff from the car to the house I've mis-placed the camera. Actually I blame Parker cuz he had it last, but I AM the one who brought all the stuff in from the car.....but I don't remember grabbing the camera. So anyway I've been stalling, hoping that I'll find it. So far no luck. The other reason I haven't posted is cuz I've been waiting to so the next post could bring down some awesome news. So far no luck with that either.......
let me explain....
Monday I had that eighth interview in Burley. It went awesome! I got there, and this guy (I think he's the office-manager) asked me all kinds of questions. The interview lasted about thirty minutes (one of the longest I've ever been to). Then he asked me if I'd like to go see the new building that the practice is re-locating to next month. So I followed him over there, and he showed me all the new stuff that's going in. It's gonna be pretty nice. Then he had me go to lunch with him and the other two dentists I'd be working for. (they crammed all this interview meeting stuff together cuz they knew I came from out of town). Since we had SO MUCH TIME to literally discuss EVERYTHING, I feel like it went especially well cuz I got to ask all my questions (that you never think of at the time....but always later) and they answered all of mine. At lunch each of the dentists had a copy of my resume and asked me questions about what was on it, like "tell me about your experience in Fort Hall"..... or...."tell me about your research project on the multimedia patient education systems"......or....."tell me about what you did for 'give kids a smile' we do that here too!" and so on. So it was really awesome. I also think that they liked how open my schedule was, and that I wanted to work full-time. Anyway, when it was all over he said "I'll probably call and let you know tomorrow.....Wednesday the latest." He said there were two other people they were looking at.

Yesterday I was yoked to my phone. I just knew they were gonna call. Also yesterday I did interview NUMBER NINE! Over the phone for a full-time position in Lehi, Utah. Crazy I know, I don't REALLY wanna move down there, but I guess if it means a job! The phone interview went really well too, it was weird cuz she asked me questions like, "what is periodontal disease?" and I had to stop and think, "did she really just ask me that?" I mean......nine interviews and I've never heard that one. Luckily Nina ENGRAVED that one into my brain and I'm pretty sure I gave the exact textbook answer. Anyway, the practice sounds awesome and I'd love to work there. It's just so far! And I'd have to get a license in Utah (and figure out exactly how to go about doing that). Not to mention that average rent in Lehi is about 800 dollars a month, and the average mortgage is over 200,000 dollars! YIKES! Expensive living! But I told them that I was waiting to hear about a job here at home, and the second I knew I'd give them a call and set up a time to maybe drive down there and spend a day there doing a working interview. (If I don't get the job up here of course). And so it's been a WAITING GAME and I'm sick of it. And I literally mean sick. After they didn't call yesterday I was sure I'd hear something today. "Wednesday the latest".....that's TODAY! And the clock ticked on, and nobody called me. It seems that NOTHING, no mater how great it sounds, no matter how great I think my chances are, seems to work out like I think it will. Today the pressure just kept building and building and the anticipation was killing me. And the longer I waited, the more I'm thinking they must have gone with someone else. Why else would it take so long? They've probably already decided and told the lucky girl and were too lazy to tell the ones that lost out, and so I'm gonna have to call THEM and hear the run-around "Oh, we decided to go with someone else"......like I haven't heard THAT one before! I could write a BOOK on all the ways to be told you didn't get a job........including getting the job and then having them change their minds. Augh! I can't stand the waiting. And the stress just gets worse. This is WAY worse than school. There's still a chance of good news, but it's been so long......who knows what I'm gonna hear. They'd better call me tomorrow.
Oh P.S. I gave Caleb a haircut two days ago. He's a little spike-head again. I really don't like his hair short.....but it's just so outa control when it's long and he gets a pretty silly-looking mullet when it gets long. So I butched it. I call him "butch" too, cuz he looks like a little soldier....standing straight up. He's still cute of course. Sorry no pictures, I REALLY don't know where the camera is.
