Strawberry Swing

So when Grandpa comes home, Caleb gets to go outside and pick the strawberries. He loves it! All of the boys love their Grandpa!

This page is also for my sister, Melissa, because since she's in Arizona she doesn't get to see how much fun her boys are having. So I took some pictures of them as well so she can look at them while she's away. Tyler had a BLAST on the swings today!

Caleb LOVES strawberries, and he'll eat 'em whole.... regaurdless of the size. He also eats them as fast as you can pick 'em, which is saying something for a two-year-old with no teeth. Today Chase and Tyler got to enjoy the strawberries as well. Mycah and Dejah came over too, so all five grandchildren got to play outside together. Here's some pictures and videos of the kids on the swings. Sorry the quality sucks...my camera's a dinosaur.

OH my heck! I just have to mention how amazingly lucky it was today, that I made a post about the kids playing on the swings and eating strawberries...and THEN I do a music search and find a song called "strawberry swing". AND it's not even a stupid song! It's a song by a band that I actually really like! WHAT ARE THE ODDS?!! I love blogging....it's so fun.

"You Little Turkey-Bird!"

Okay, so the other day Caleb, Parker and I went over to my sister Melissa's house for the day to hang out. Melissa has two little boys as well: Chase and Tyler. Tyler is only two months older than Caleb. Anyway, it started to get hot outside, so we filled the little ankle-deep swimming pool with water and let the boys play. Here's the problem though....Caleb is DEATHLY afraid of swimming. He loves taking a bath, cuz he's done it since he was born...but you put him in a pool (large or small) and he FREAKS OUT. Here's a picture of the boys playing, and Caleb warmed up to the idea after a while, but he only consented to getting his feet wet. He just sat there and watched the boys play, and fussed when they splashed him in the face. We've decided that swimming lessons is a MUST for this kid, and we'll have to get him started as soon as possible. I have a feeling this fear of water is going to take years to fully overcome. Parker always calls Caleb a "turkey-bird" when he's being a little chicken, or anyting silly for that matter. I think it's funny. I've never heard the expressin before, but apparently Parker's family uses it all the time.

No Air

Allright, so this took me DAYS and DAYS to figure out, but I am happy to say that I finally figured out how to put youtube vieos on my blog. So....incase anyone doesn't know yet, my new "fave" TV show is "So you think you can dance". The dance I'm posting is actually from LAST week, not this week, but it is SO my absalute favorite. I hope these guys make it to the top four. Anyway, I took my last board exam this morning at 7:00 am. Thank goodness THAT'S finally over....what a nightmare. Lets just hope I passed. Allright, so if you like this video... make sure you tune in to FOX this Wednesday and Thursday for the next "So You Think You Can Dance" episode. To all my DH girls....I'm sure gonna miss you. Addicted To The Written Word

Approximately one day after college graduation, I discovered my new passion. Although it's not that new, cuz I've always loved to read, but having been novel-deprived for nearly five years....I've decided it's catch-up time. Since graduation, I have not spent a day not reading a book on some level or another. I'm pretty sure from this day forward, there will always be a book I'm reading. During the summers in college I was able to read a little bit. I managed to read the Harry Potter books as they were released (which still remains my all-time favorite books....I know twilight fans....I'm loyal it's true, but don't worry...Stephenie Meyer's books are my runners-up.

This weekend I finished Stephenie Meyer's new adult novel "The Host". For a sci-fi I cannot believe how much I loved it. I know I've read a good book when I can't stop thinking about it for days after I've finished. I think it's funny that I was so angry when I heard she actually took the time to release some book before "Breaking Dawn" (the 4th and final book of the twilight series, that does not come out until August 2nd).....but her marketing scheme worked. In my desperate attempt to read something while anxiously waiting the release of "Breaking Dawn".....I broke down and bought her book. And I'm not sorry I did. I absalutely loved it, and to all you twilight fans.....it's a good distraction and I would highly recomend "The Host" to anyone! Yep! Guys you too! It's got a love story(ies).....but it's not NEARLY as girly as twilight and its sequels.

So there's my blirb......if you wanna read a good book, pick up "The Host". It's an awesome book. One I'm proud to add to my collection.

and I am currently reading "Pride and Prejudice". I've also taken a liking to the classics. It's time to read them for enjoyment instead of as an assignment.

Over The Rainbow

Today my parents brought home the rainbow play-set. Complete with swings, rock-climbing wall, chain climber, draw-bridge ramp, and slide. Not to mention the cool shady-decking underneath with the platform staircase along the side. Needless to say it was a hit. It took pretty much all day to get the thing set up, but the kids had a blast through the process anyway. I just realized I never got a picture of the completed project. Oh well, you get the idea. Caleb was actually too chicken to go down the slide unless we made him. He just went up and down that platform staircase instead.

Since tomorrow is Father's day, I'd also like to add a little blirb about my husband, Parker, who truly is the greatest dad I could ever hope for for Caleb. He's never too busy to play with him, and he always has so much joy in watching our son learn and grow. He is a wonderful man and a great father. I love him with all my heart, happy Father's day Parker!

Haircut

Okay, last Thursday I chopped off my hair. I like the length, but not my bangs so much. I guess they'll grow. Caleb is saying phrases now. Last night he said, "Whatare you doin'?" and this morning he said, "just a minute." What a funny kid. He makes us laugh so much. I'm going back to Pocatello next week for boards...YIKES. I guess it's time to start studying for that anasthesia test.

We're really enjoying Boise....of course, I think anyplace would be enjoyable as long as you're not working. I guess we'll get in gear soon enough.
